I live in Kasukabe City, which is famous because of the anime series Crayon Shin-Chan. 
A famous landmark of Kasukabe is the Ito Yokado store, which is copied in Shin-Chan's anime series as "Sato Kokonokado".

Because this year is the 25th Anniversary of Crayon Shin-Chan, The department store decided to do something special. It changed it's name, and pretended to be Sato Kokonokado for two weeks! 

The first time I saw what was happening, I was really surprised. But I was even more surprised when I saw all the people coming to look at the store! Shin-Chan must have a lot of fans! There were even news reporters at the store. Now the store has changed back into normal Ito Yokado, but it was fun to see something like this happen in the city.

I have a small confession: although I have many friends from abroad who like Crayon Shin-Chan, I actually have never watched it!
