Snow country Iwate

For spring vacation I went to Iwate in northern Honshu. I have been to many places in Japan but this was my first trip to this prefecture. My first night there it snowed and Iwate became a winter wonderland! I also visited the famous cultural site Hiraizumi which at one time rivaled Kyoto as a center of culture in Japan. I am so glad I finally made the trip to this beautiful place!
