Homestay 2019
Hello everyone!
I just got back from our annual trip to Australia. As I said last week, we take a bunch of junior high and senior high students to do a homestay near Sydney. They spend one week in the home stay and learn how people live in Australia. Some schools only do a few days but we do a full week. This means many of the students can make good relationships with the families. This is different than just a tour or a school trip. It means they can make friendships with people from other countries.
It also means they can change their thinking towards learning and using English.
It really is a great experience for the students (and the families too).

Wonderful program
Hello everyone,Hello from Australia! I am currently in Australia with our homestay program students. Every year we have a bunch of students who go to Australia for 10 days. It is a great program and the students really enjoy it. It is not just about students speaking English. The main idea for the program is all the other things that are just as important or maybe more important than English, like: people skills, communication skills, dealing with differences, handling challenges, being independent and so much more. It is truly a wonderful program!
Have a great spring holiday!!

Good luck!
Our International department at Seiritsu went to Enoshima yesterday with the international students. It was incredibly windy. But the skies were very clear and we had a great view of Mount Fuji. We also talked a lot about the area.
Maybe you studied it in high school, but do you remember how we often use the passive voice to describe places? For example, did you study these sentences?
