～春～　満開

桜は、そろりと「葉桜」の季節へと移行しています。

花が散って寂しくなるのではなくて、実を付けるため葉を伸ばすのです。そして秋には、また翌春に咲くため「つぼみ」が出来ます。
全ては「次」のために。


コチラはまさに今、満開です。赤羽駅前「成立学園通り」にある花壇です。※成立学園 ボランティア部の方々によるものです。

この時期は、桜の花の開花時期ばかりが話題になりますが、この"菜の花"の黄色一色の畑もテンション上がりますよ～(^^)/ コロナ禍での桜の花見宴会は出来ませんので、郊外の菜の畑を見ながらの～びり過ごすのも良いかもですよ(^^)v　(k.h)

お花見散歩

早くも満開の桜。

週末は花散らしの雨が降るとの予想だったので、お散歩がてら近所の通り沿いの桜を見てきました。


桜と青空の美しいコントラストに目を奪われていると、高い枝の間にある何かを発見！
木の枝を集めて作ったであろう鳥の巣でした。
お花見できた上に鳥の巣まで見ることができて、なんだか得した気分です。

Japanese history in English

Hello everyone,


While we are on the topic of ESP (English for Specific Purposes), I thought I would touch on the idea of history. Japanese history is very interesting. Originally I was planning on talking a lot about it before the Olympics so that maybe you could introduce some visitors from overseas to some neat and interesting facts. But that is less likely to happen now for this year so I will only do a little about history for now.


Did you know there is a new popular series on Netflix about Japanese history?
It is very popular overseas. (I haven't seen it yet though.)

If you or your kids like history, I highly recommend it. The language is difficult but learning even only a few words can be helpful.

濃厚カレー

最近作ったカレー

レッドカレーペースト、ココナッツミルク、ピーナッツバター、トマト缶で作ります。イメージしたのは某牛丼店でいただいた「マッサマンカレー」。
具材は玉ねぎとチキンモモ肉のみ。
ジャガイモ、ニンジン、ピーマン、キノコ類は素揚げして、上に乗せる「意識高い系」。


ご飯は、黒米を1合につきスプーン一杯入れて炊いたもの。
小麦粉使わなくても、濃厚で旨いっ！

卒業！

3/21(日)にゼブラバスケットボールクラブの卒業イベントを行いますました(^^)/コロナ禍でのイベントのため5.6年生のみの参加とし、保護者の皆様にはzoomでオンライン配信を行いました！
　6年生は夏合宿も出来ず、思う様な練習も出来ませんでしたが、最後は皆んなで試合やコーチ達との試合、フリースロー大会等で本当に楽しく盛り上がりましたね＼(^^)／　中学生になってもゼブラに遊びに来てね〜！

運試しに

桜の花が咲き始めて、場所によっては早くも三〜五分咲きぐらいになってきました。
ずいぶん季節の進み具合が早いですが、この調子で花粉も早く過ぎ去って欲しいものです。


今年1月、運試しにとフラ雑誌の懸賞に応募したら、見事に当たりました。
これを着てウクレレの練習も頑張りたいと思います。

ESP - Magic

Hello everyone,


I hope you are enjoying the nice weather. It is so nice outside....


Last week we had our March events and we challenged each other to a bunch of fun tasks. At the end, we gave the students a present to continue the idea. We gave them magic trick sets from the 100 yen store. Most of them had English and Japanese instructions inside the box. Most of the students cannot read the instructions but some parents can. It is an interesting way to play together and learn some English at the same time. There are many different tricks available at your nearest Daiso. I highly recommend trying a few with your family and friends.
