Happy Halloween!

Hello everyone!
We had some exciting classes for Halloween this past week.
We had many friends come and join us as well, which is always very nice.
You can see some of the pictures on the Facebook page and the English class pages.
We will have parties for Christmas as well so please come and join us and have some fun!

黒部ダム⑤

ダムのそはにある殉職者の慰霊碑です。
昭和30年代の経済成長のころ、電気を必要としたために建設されたダムだそうで、
当時、自然の厳しい中での困難な作業は大変だったと思います。
そこには、殉職された171名の方のお名前と「尊きみなしらに捧ぐ」と書かれており、献花がなされていました。
私もお参りして来ました。

皆さん仮装の準備は出来ましたか？我が家は特に変わりもなく、大人しく過ごします(^^)ちょうどゼブラの練習があるので、子供達にお菓子あげようかな♪

Yokohama trip

Hello everyone!
Today the international department went on an excursion around Yokohama. We visited the foreign resident cemetery and we went to the Osanbashi pier near Yamashita park. After visiting a museum we then went to Minatomirai area.
It is fun to take the students to new spots and teach them some history and culture.

成田ゆめ牧場！

先日孫を連れて「成田ゆめ牧場」に行ってきました(^^)大きい牛や馬など近くで見たり、ヤギに餌をあげたりしました！そして牧場の醍醐味、濃厚な牛乳ソフトクリームを食べて大満足♪

※先日の台風19号により被害を受けられた方、たくさんの施設が現在も使用できない現状となっているチームもたくさんあります。今週の雨で2次被害の危険もあると言われていますので、皆様お気を付けください。
一日でも早く復旧し、日常に戻れるよう願っております。

TV crew

Hello everyone As we often say, the international department at Seiritsu Gakuen is involved in a lot of stuff. This week we had a TV crew in from South Africa. They are here covering the World Cup but they're also filming some other programs while they are here. One of the things they wanted to do was film some karate with a person from South Africa. I was asked to assist and we were able to use one of the Dojo at the school.

Next year with the Olympics I'm sure they'll be more chances like this.

このたびの台風１９号により、被災された皆さまへ心からお見舞い申し上げます。
一日も早くいつもの生活に戻れますよう、また被災地の復興を心よりお祈りいたします。

さて、今週も先週に引き続き黒部ダム。
観光放水の写真です。日本一高い１８５メートルの高さから毎秒１０ｔ以上の水が放水されます。
