Fun and Games at Home

Hello everyone,

I hope you are staying safe. One way to stay safe is to stay home as much as possible.
But that is difficult with kids, isn't it? They often spend too much time on playing video games and watching TV or YouTube. So what can we do with them/for them?

At our summer fun classes last week and in July, we showed the kids some fun activities they can do at home with their families. We will show them here for the next few weeks. It is up to you if you want to add in English or not. We will add some English hints too in case you want the extra English practice.

防災の日

本日、9月1日は【防災の日】です。

何故に今日かといいますと、1923年（大正12年）に関東大震災が発生したこと、暦の上では二百十日に当たり、台風シーズンを迎える時期であることからなのだそうです。記録的豪雨などの気象災害から身を守るために何をするか？

まずは災害が発生した時（地震、河川氾濫）にどうなるのか？をイメージしてみましょう。市や区からのお知らせに書いてあったな、どうするんだっけ？もし避難するとなったら何が必要かな？そうだ！コロナ禍だから密が気になるぞ、アルコール消毒液は多めに必要だ！用意しておくものは自ずと出てきますね。

日頃から気にするようにしたいものです。
