Read with their favorite characters
Hello!
I was writing about reading for the last few weeks. One of the best pieces of advice is to find a way to "pique" (catch, build up) your child's interest. How can you do that?
If your child has a favorite character, pick a series of books that features this character. For me (when I was a young boy - a long time ago) it was Spiderman. Thanks to the friendly neighborhood spidey, I latched on to comics fairly early in my childhood. And then I went on to other stories and have been a reader ever since.
Right now, Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) is very popular with kids. Try getting your child hooked on a popular series and they will want to read all of the books. (And see the movies, and buy all the goodies...sorry...). It could be the start of a lifelong habit.
