National Chopsticks Day?

Yes, February has a day honoring chopsticks.

Chopsticks have been used in Eastern Asia for around 6000 years. They are used in many countries such as Japan, China, Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan. Each person in a family has their own set of chopsticks.

There are many styles of chopsticks. For example, Japanese chopsticks are pointed. Chinese chopsticks are very long and made of bamboo. Korean chopsticks are medium-sized and often made of metal.

冬の便り(^^)/

秋田の友人から"冬の便り"であるリンゴが届きました～(^^♪ 自宅の前の畑で採れた物なので、不揃いで見た目は良くありませんが、味は真ん中に蜜の部分があり、めちゃ美味しいですよ(^_-)-☆ １２月になると急激に寒くなってきますので、体調には十分気を付けて過ごしましょう。まだまだコロナの感染にも気を付けましょう。

ドイツ旅　番外編

２０２２年W杯がスタートしましたね(^^♪　日本代表の初戦はドイツ代表と対戦でした。結果は、見事勝利(*^^)v

日本サッカー協会は今までドイツの育成プログラムを導入したり環境を勉強したりと、ドイツサッカーを参考にしてきました。これからもドイツの育成をしっかり見習い日本サッカーを盛り上げていきたいと思います(^_-)-☆

Homeschooling - A typical pattern

A normal homeschooling family only has the income of one earning member. That means that often spending has to be careful, and proper planning is a must. This helps to bring the family members together and everybody gets involved in the process of saving money. This is part of the overall learning process, too.

Having a parent at home to supervise, to nurture and care for the children is very lucky. Even your partner chips in and there just is no room for boredom. Yes, problems do crop up (happen), and there are a lot of misgivings in your mind. But when you know that your kids can always count on you, and your kids know it too, then homeschooling becomes a richly rewarding experience.

But more and more families are not a one-income family. So we will talk more about how to use homeschooling ideas for a wide variety of families.

未来フード

前から気になっていた「マンナン漬けまぐろ」をスーパーで見つけたので買ってみた。

こんにゃくで「漬けマグロ」を再現している商品なのですが、思いっきり「マグロ」と入っています。カニカマは英語名としては "imitation crab meat"、"seafood stick" などがあるが、その他に"surimi（すり身）"という名称で知られています。でも中には"crab stick"としているのもあって「んん？」。

さてこの「漬けマグロ」はどうでしょう？ちょっと時間が無いので来週ご報告させていただきます。すいません。

近所の林の中で"どんぐり"発見！最近見てなかったな～ 身近な秋ですね(^_-)-☆

どちらも

少し遠方にある鰻屋さんでお食事する機会がありまして、鰻はもちろん美味しかったのですが、鰻の肝わさと生牡蠣がどちらも負けず劣らず、綺麗な味で美味しかったです。

Homeschooling and the family

Overseas there are many children who are doing homeschooling. There is a surprising mix of people who form the homeschooling world of today. Their main aim is providing meaningful and productive learning through a method that strengthens the bond between the various members of the family.
For most of us, homeschooling is too much of a commitment but we can do more together as a family.

Homeschooling draws the whole family into the activity. Everyone is put to work. The parents together form a bond with the children. Any experience can be turned into an educational experience. Even watching a movie together can become a learning experience. Trips to libraries and other places become educational as well as recreational.

We will talk more about this topic over the next few weeks.

季節は何でしょう？

11月16日は冬なのでしょうか？秋なのでしょうか？

一般財団法人日本気象協会によると、「気象学」的には秋、「二十四節気」的には冬なのだそうです。近畿地方では13日に木枯らし1号が吹きましたけど、東京では未だ。22日頃が有力視されていますから、その頃から冬であるとも言えます。

個人的には渡り鳥がやって来た時から冬であると認識しています。

鴨のように見えますが「オオバン」と言ってクイナ科というツル系統の鳥です。冬になると北海道から南下して越冬します。
マガモは未だ来ていないようですがそろそろでしょう。

それでは春は？といいますと彼らがいなくなったらです。※個人の感想です。
