St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day happens in March. It is celebrated in several countries such as Ireland, the United States, Canada and Australia, and even Singapore and Russia. Popular St. Patrick's Day recipes include Irish soda bread, corned beef and cabbage. In the United States, people often wear green on St. Patrick's Day, and you will get pinched by if you don't wear green on this day. Be careful.

In Ireland, St. Patrick's Day has traditionally been a religious occasion. Until the 1970s, Irish law said that pubs be closed on March 17. Beginning in 1995 the Irish government began a national campaign to using St. Patrick's Day as a way to bring tourists to Ireland.
